Mentorship Rooted In Compassion

SEND at Heart is a calm, supportive space for parents who feel unsure, exhausted or stuck. From first questions about your child’s needs to the EHCP process, you’ll find guidance, reassurance and the confidence to advocate with clarity and heart.

Why I created SEND@ Heart

SEND@Heart was born from a simple truth. Parents need knowledge, emotional safety and someone who respects both their lived experience and the professionals working within the system. This is about collaboration, helping parents understand the system, communicate clearly and advocate with calm strength.

My Journey and Experience

Hello, I’m Genevieve Joseph-Williams, founder and CEO of SEND@Heart. I’m a mother, an experienced educator and someone who’s spent nearly 4 decades walking alongside families, schools and professionals across the SEND landscape. I understand the emotional weight of this journey and I’m here to help you carry it with clarity, compassion and confidence. I’ve worked across multiple London boroughs in roles that span the entire SEND process:

  • Class Teacher, SENCO, Assistant Head
  • Specialist Leader of Education in SEND (SLE), recognised for excellence
  • Inclusion Officer on the Local Authority’s Inclusion and Monitoring Team
  • Writer, amender and co-producer of EHCPs
  • Trainer and mentor to SENCOs and school staff

I’ve supported families through the most complex situations, liaised with professionals like Educational Psychologists and helped schools implement joined-up, coordinated support strategies. I’ve built lasting relationships with families by offering guidance that’s both practical and emotionally safe.

What We Offer

At SEND@Heart, we believe early identification and intervention are key to unlocking a child’s full potential. That’s why our support is structured, emotionally attuned and deeply respectful of everyone involved. We offer:

  • Structured Roadmaps – Clear, step-by-step plans tailored to your child’s needs
  • Expert Advice – Compassionate guidance to help you advocate effectively
  • Practical Strategies – Tools and techniques to support your child at home and in school
  • Emotional Support – A growing community where you can share experiences and feel understood

A Final Word

This work is personal. It’s shaped by my own journey through growth and compassion for vulnerable families.  SEND@ Heart is more than a service...it’s a lifeline.

  • A place where truth and tenderness meet.
  • A place where parents find their voice again.

Whether you’re unsure about your child’s needs or certain they require formal support, SEND@Heart offers the clarity and compassion you’ve been searching for.

Let’s walk this path together.
